'Blue bra girl' rallies Egypt's women vs. oppression

(CNN) -- The Egyptian revolution has a new, and shocking, image: It's the Egyptian flag, but the eagle in the middle has been replaced by a simple blue bra. The image refers to the recent, savage beating of an abaya-clad female protester by Egyptian military forces.

Graphic videos of the beating, captured on phones and uploaded to YouTube and Facebook, have quickly proliferated. They show a limp woman being dragged by her arms along the street. Her abaya is ripped open, exposing her naked torso and blue bra. Security forces surround her, many wielding batons. As the beating progresses, the guards hit her and one even stomps on her. Photos of the man bringing his heavy boot down on her bare stomach made the front page of newspapers around the world.

You Like Ron Paul, Except on Foreign Policy

So, you'd vote for Ron Paul if it weren't for his wacky foreign policy?

U.S. military veterans and active duty soldiers overwhelmingly support Ron Paul for President in 2012. Find out why.

This video explains why they support Ron Paul so overwhelmingly, including a discussion of "blowback" resulting from U.S. interventionist foreign policy.

Paul closes in on Gingrich

There has been some major movement in the Republican Presidential race in Iowa over the last week, with what was a 9 point lead for Newt Gingrich now all the way down to a single point. Gingrich is at 22% to 21% for Paul with Mitt Romney at 16%, Michele Bachmann at 11%, Rick Perry at 9%, Rick Santorum at 8%, Jon Huntsman at 5%, and Gary Johnson at 1%.

CaucusGraph
Gingrich has dropped 5 points in the last week and he's also seen a significant decline in his favorability numbers. Last week he was at +31 (62/31) and he's now dropped 19 points to +12 (52/40). The attacks on him appear to be taking a heavy toll- his support with Tea Party voters has declined from 35% to 24%.
Paul meanwhile has seen a big increase in his popularity from +14 (52/38) to +30 (61/31).  There are a lot of parallels between Paul's strength in Iowa and Barack Obama's in 2008- he's doing well with new voters, young voters, and non-Republican voters:
-59% of likely voters participated in the 2008 Republican caucus and they support Gingrich 26-18.  But among the 41% of likely voters who are 'new' for 2012 Paul leads Gingrich 25-17 with Romney at 16%.  Paul is doing a good job of bringing out folks who haven't done this before.
-He's also very strong with young voters.  Among likely caucus goers under 45 Paul is up 30-16 on Gingrich.  With those over 45, Gingrich leads him 26-15 with Romney at 17%.
-Among Republicans Gingrich leads Paul 25-17. But with voters who identify as Democrats or independents, 21% of the electorate in a year with no action on the Democratic side, Paul leads Gingrich 34-14 with Romney at 17%.
Young voters, independents, and folks who haven't voted in caucuses before is an unusual coalition for a Republican candidate...the big question is whether these folks will really come out and vote...if they do, we could be in for a big upset.
Paul's supporters are considerably more committed to him than Gingrich's are.  77% of current Paul voters say they're definitely going to vote for him, compared to only 54% for Gingrich.  Romney has much more solid support than Gingrich as well, 67% of his voters saying they're with him for the long haul. Among only voters who say their mind's totally made up, 29% support Paul to 21% for Gingrich, 18% for Romney, and 11% for Bachmann.
Romney's staying right in place. He was at 16% last week and he's at 16% this week. His net favorability was a +4 spread last week and it's a +4 spread this week.  Gingrich's support is declining in Iowa but Romney's not gaining, just as he failed to gain when Cain and Perry and Bachmann collapsed before. One statistic that really jumps out- only 44% of Romney's supporters from 2008 say they plan to vote for him again. If he was even just retaining all his support from last time around he'd be in the lead. Like Romney, there's been little change in Michele Bachmann's standing over the last week.  Her favorability was +21 (56/35). Now it's +18 (55/37). She's gone from 13% support to 11%.
Rick Perry generated a ton of attention in the last week with his ad decrying the repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' and the 'War on Christmas,' but it hasn't done much for his poll standing.  He was at 9% and he's still at 9%.  His favorability numbers are under water with 43% of likely voters viewing him favorably to 47% with a negative opinion. The only Republican who's less well regarded is Jon Huntsman. Only 41% of Iowa Republicans even oppose gays serving in the military to 28% who support it and 31% unsure...and Perry's only tied for fourth even with those who are opposed, behind Gingrich, Bachmann, and Paul.

Edgar Steele - Ongoing Saga - Installment #20 - 12-10-11

(This installment was written during the 2.5 weeks Mr. Steele was in solitary confinement, maximum security lock-down.  Our best information was that he was being allowed one 15-minute phone call per month.  Two days ago, authorities have moved him into the general prison population.  His current location is as follows:
Edgar James Steele - #14226-023, FDC Seatac, Federal Detention Center, P.O. Box 13900, Seattle, WA  98198).

If I’m Not a Political Prisoner, Judge, Who Is?
by Edgar J. Steele
December 10, 2011
“There is an attempt by some to call Mr. Steele’s case a politically-motivated prosecution. That is not true.” Thus spoke the judge at my recent sentencing hearing. Ok, judge – if not true, then why did you feel compelled to deny that I am a political prisoner?
If I’m not a political prisoner, judge, then why did you secretly listen in on my privileged attorney-client discussions during breaks at trial?
If I’m not a political prisoner, then why did you keep my world-class forensic sound experts and linguist from telling the jury how those two recordings clearly were fabrications? (351 anomalies, judge. 351! Just one was enough to put the lie to them.)
If I’m not a political prisoner, judge, why did you deny me a public trial? (29 sidebar conferences, all those secret hearings from which even I was excluded and all those sealed and now disappearing documents!)
If I’m not a political prisoner, then why did you let Federal Prosecutor Whelan use the US Marshals Service secretly to record all my “privileged” attorney-client telephone calls and in-person private conferences, as well as to open my “privileged” legal mail to attorneys?
If I’m not a political prisoner, judge, then why did you sustain virtually every prosecution objection at trial, while denying virtually every defense objection?
If I’m not a political prisoner, then why didn’t you let my trial witnesses testify to much of anything, while granting the prosecution every possible indulgence, with the result that the federal prosecutor’s case took a week and my own defense was forced by you into less than a single day?
If I’m not a political prisoner, judge, then why did you deny my key witness’ testimony by live video feed from outside the US, while allowing the prosecution to play the taped deposition of their foreign witness? Did you forget that the US Constitution reserved the “Right of Confrontation” to criminal defendants, not the government?
If I’m not a political prisoner, judge, then why did you force me to choose between my key witness’ testimony and my Constitutional right to not testify? And, why did you then alter the trial transcript to cover up the evidence of your having done so?
If I’m not a political prisoner, then why did you consistently deny me the right to present evidence and testimony that showed the government, especially the FBI, “in a bad light,” though that excluded virtually all my evidence in this, a case about government misconduct?
If I’m not a political prisoner, then why am I, once again, being held virtually incommunicado, in max-security, full-lockdown, solitary confinement, though I have proven to be the model inmate after 18 months, most of that in solitary, too?
If I’m not a political prisoner, judge, then why did you sentence me to 50 years, despite my age, poor health and the fact that ax murderers routinely walk after 8 years?
Why are there so many other inmates here, in prison and in jail, who consider themselves to be political prisoners?
If I’m not a political prisoner, judge, then why has America’s prison population tripled in the last generation (20 years), now to stand at 6 times that (per capita) of any other nation in the world, far surpassing Russia in the mid-1900s, WWII Germany and modern-day communist China?
If I am not a political prisoner, judge, why did you have to stack the deck against me, then deal from the bottom, anyway?
Simple fairness, judge, is all for which I ever have asked. If I’m not a political prisoner, why couldn’t you have afforded me simple fairness?

Melted Fuel Near Point of Reaching Bottom Container, Barrier Needed

The operator of the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant revealed Wednesday that melted nuclear fuel has nearly reached the bottom steel wall under the concrete.
Following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, all of the fuel inside the No. 1 reactor melted after cooling functions failed with a substantial amount of the fuel melting through the reactor pressure vessel and dripping into the outer container.
On Wednesday, Tokyo Electric Power Company, said the melted fuel has eroded the concrete base of the reactor container by up to 65 centimeters.
If the erosion expands another 37 centimeters, it would be hitting the steel wall.
However, TEPCO's analysis is rough at best because it is a prediction of the current situation inside the reactor based on its temperature change and injection of cooling water.

"TEPCO's analysis says we have 30 centimeters of the concrete base left to prevent the melted fuel to hit the bottom. But I am not confident that we have that much space left. We have to be prepared for the worst case scenario."

If the fuel melts through the remaining concrete embedment, which is only some 30 centimeters, it is bound to seep into the soil.
Therefore, experts say TEPCO must find a measure to prevent fuel leakage.

"I think they must install a 5 to 10 meter barrier in the basement to prevent the worst case scenario.".... read rest of article...

PATRIOTISM IS NOT LOYALY TO THE GOVERNMENT
PATRIOTISM IS LOYALTY TO THE CONSTITUTION

Gun bill S822 passed the House and will soon be passed by the Senate. This is going to list all concealed carry permit holders in a national data base. Then these permits will be severely restricted and subject to federal control. This is just another step towards taking all the guns away folks. This is a "Trojan horse" law that seems good on the outside- until you figure it out. Of course you want your gun carry permit to be good in all 50 states. However, you don't want the federal government running the show with carry permits. Slaves can't own guns; only free people can own guns. Our Founding Fathers made it very clear gun ownership is a right, not a privilege, This has nothing to do with "militias". We are the only civilized country in the world where you can still own guns. Gun ownership is so severely restricted in Canada, all of Europe, Australia, NZ, Japan and most everywhere else. Can't have those Americans owning guns!!! Romney has done his best to ban guns in Massachusetts, and will do the same if he is elected president.

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."
      David Rockefeller
More and more the leaders of the New World order come right out and tell you what they are doing. No more secrets behind closed doors. Right in your face- we are going to have a one world government.

"Of course there is a class war, but it's my class, the rich class, that is waging the war, and we're winning."
      Warren Buffet
Never forget that the “wisest investor in the world” only makes 4% a year with his pitiful Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA) stock. That’s right, Senile in Omaha has made all of 44% profit in the last 11 years. That is BELOW real inflation, so you would have lost real purchasing power. Silver has gone up almost 700% in the last 11 years. Buffett is on record as hating silver and gold. He sold his silver years ago. We have published 10 year BRKA charts repeatedly to prove this.
Have you heard about the Defense Authorization act S1867? Congress is secretly passing that without any media attention. Any American can be arrested by the military anywhere in the world without charges, trial, hearing, or attorney. For any reason or no reason at all. Crimes include a, "beligerant act". A beligerant act would include anything! Think this is some kind of right wing paranoia? Well, the ACLU (who is not your friend) is actively fighting this, to their credit. Go to www.downsizedc.com to learn more. Send them money if you want to. They are a good organization devoted to freedom. The Constitution and Bill of Rights went down the drain decades ago. America is through, finished, done, kaput, over after 235 years.

Wow! Look at the above chart of Goldman Sachs and the Obama cabinet. This is “crony capitalism” at its best. This is not real free market capitalism at all.

We have now started a war with Pakistan. We just killed 24 innocent Pakistani soldiers for no reason at all. It was just a "mistake". We are trying to start a war with Syria. Russia is going to defend Syria, just as they will defend Iran. America has gone psychotic attacking every country in the Mideast- but Israel of course. We are 5% of the world population but spend 50% of the world military budget. This can't keep up. We are out of money and have been out of money. We cannot afford these endless, evil wars of aggression.  If you think there is any hope at all just look at the above chart. Federal debt is almost 400% of Gross National Product. The Much Greater Depression is the only outcome of this insanity. This will be the worst depression the world has ever seen. You'll see 40% unemployment just for starters. Mass starvation. FEMA camps. Martial law. This will be unprecedented. Get ready for this. Do everything you can to prepare for what is coming.

Folks, this is End Times. No, Jesus isn't coming back, and wouldn't bother. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are not coming down from the sky either. Life on earth is over and World War III looms around the corner. There is no freedom on this planet for the first time since man appeared. One big Prison Planet with a One World Government almost complete. See you in mid-December.

Ron Paul tells Mitt Romney to read the Constitution!

The Great Thanksgiving Hoax

Each year at this time school children all over America are taught the official Thanksgiving story, and newspapers, radio, TV, and magazines devote vast amounts of time and space to it. It is all very colorful and fascinating.
It is also very deceiving. This official story is nothing like what really happened. It is a fairy tale, a whitewashed and sanitized collection of half-truths which divert attention away from Thanksgiving's real meaning.
The official story has the pilgrims boarding the Mayflower, coming to America and establishing the Plymouth colony in the winter of 1620-21. This first winter is hard, and half the colonists die. But the survivors are hard working and tenacious, and they learn new farming techniques from the Indians. The harvest of 1621 is bountiful. The Pilgrims hold a celebration, and give thanks to God. They are grateful for the wonderful new abundant land He has given them.
The official story then has the Pilgrims living more or less happily ever after, each year repeating the first Thanksgiving. Other early colonies also have hard times at first, but they soon prosper and adopt the annual tradition of giving thanks for this prosperous new land called America.
The problem with this official story is that the harvest of 1621 was not bountiful, nor were the colonists hardworking or tenacious. 1621 was a famine year and many of the colonists were lazy thieves.
In his History of Plymouth Plantation, the governor of the colony, William Bradford, reported that the colonists went hungry for years, because they refused to work in the fields. They preferred instead to steal food. He says the colony was riddled with "corruption," and with "confusion and discontent." The crops were small because "much was stolen both by night and day, before it became scarce eatable."

Anti-war Ron Paul attracting support from local left

Amid polling last week that showed Ron Paul running into the money in both Iowa and New Hampshire there were also signs that he was tapping support from an unexpected quarter — the  left-wing of the Democratic Party.

Lynn Rudmin Chong, former chair of the Belknap County Democratic Committee, has publicly endorsed Paul and said that "I have found other kindred souls." The Sanbornton resident said that she left the Democratic Party and changed her voter registration to "undeclared" in anticipation of  taking a Republican ballot in New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation presidential primary and casting her vote for Paul.
"He is the only one saying no more war," Chong said. She spent two days in Washington with the "Occupy DC" movement, where she said that she was encouraged to see so many young people holding signs supporting Paul.

"I would definitely call myself a progressive," said Will Hopkins of Belmont, who returned from a tour as infantryman in Iraq to become executive director of New Hampshire Peace Action, a group seeking to end foreign wars and cut defense budgets. "I supported Obama in 2008, but I'm supporting Ron Paul. That's where I'm putting my eggs this year," he said. "A lot of folks in the peace movement are taking a close look at Paul."

Fukushima - China syndrome is inevitable

Architect of Reactor 3 warns of massive hydrovolcanic explosion

Architect of Fukushima Daiichi Reactor 3, Uehara Haruo, the former president of Saga University had an interview on 11/17/2011.
In this interview, he admitted Tepco’s explanation does not make sense, and that the China syndrome is inevitable.

He stated that considering 8 months have passed since 311 without any improvement, it is inevitable that melted fuel went out of the container vessel and sank underground, which is called China syndrome.

He added, if fuel has reaches a underground water vein, it will cause contamination of underground water, soil contamination and sea contamination. Moreover, if the underground water vein keeps being heated for long time, a massive hydrovolcanic explosion will be caused.

He also warned radioactive debris is spreading in Pacific Ocean. Tons of the debris has reached the Marshall Islands as of 11/15/2011.
